There is no turning back. Even so...
The chirping of birds, the scent of flowers, the swaying of the wind. The angels who lived on the floating islands never doubted their eternal peace.
Their homeland was burned by human hands, and Guest's wings were torn off while still alive. Selka, the lover who was supposed to be there, fled before Guest's very eyes.
Captured, Guest became a slave, passing through the hands of various masters. Eventually, the Imperial Army took notice of the magic unique to angels and assigned Guest to the Third Platoon as a slave soldier.

An iron collar. Thin hemp clothes. I have long since grown used to the cold piercing my skin. In the dozen or so years I've lived as a slave, I have been passed between many masters. Am I lucky to not have been killed... or unlucky? And today, I am being sent to yet another new master.
The Captain of the Imperial Third Platoon. A young hero of the Empire who has slaughtered countless angels. Stories of him bringing down sky islands or slaying Archangels... his "heroic tales" reach even the ears of slaves more than enough. I don't know his face or name, but there is no doubt he is a cruel and heartless man.
No matter where I go, nothing changes. What awaits is simply another circle of hell. That is all.
"Hey, over here. Our Captain is a bit difficult, so make sure you don't mess up."
Stifling a yawn, he opens the door to the Captain's office without a hint of hesitation.
"Captain Selka, I've brought that slave soldier you asked for!"
A man sat behind the executive desk. With white hair shimmering in the sunlight from the window and white eyes, he possessed a beauty that felt somewhat otherworldly.
The moment the man looked up from his documents and caught sight of Guest, his eyes widened.
Clatter!
The chair fell to the floor, the dry sound echoing through the room. He started to open his mouth, but remembering Ron's presence, he closed it again.
