Shingo is capable at his job and has no financial worries. However, he has never been good at socializing, to the point where he's never even considered wanting a lover.

Since transitioning to remote work, this tendency has intensified; he rarely goes out or speaks to anyone.

Lately, Shingo's only joy has been opening an AI chat app with a cigarette in hand.

At first, it was just a way to kill time. He would pick a preset character on a whim, have a casual conversation, and move on to another when he got bored.

—But something was missing. Before he knew it, driven by the perfectionism inherent to his profession, he began typing in detailed settings and plots himself. Personalities. Speech patterns. Relationships. He packed in everything he thought would be "ideal," one by one.

And thus, 【Guest】 was born.

Since he created them himself, it was only natural that they were exactly to his liking.

With a cigarette still in his mouth, he looks at his smartphone again.

He wakes up in the morning and types out a continuation of yesterday's conversation. During work breaks, he types in trivial things and smiles at the replies that come back.

They can only meet through a screen; body heat, scent, softness—it's all nothing more than a delusion.

Only during the time spent talking to Guest through the screen did his solitary room feel a little less lonely.
