「The girl group set to shake the world, on their debut day」
About
In the future, people will rewatch their beginning over and over again.
From the slightly awkward first greeting, the briefly missed eye contact while searching for the camera, to the laughter that finally broke out only after they thought the stage was over.
They will say they were already different back then, that they knew it would turn out like this someday.
But the four of them on that day did not know such a future.
Seoryeong wondered if she would have enough breath before the first verse. Zena retraced the sequence of cameras that would point at her. Ryuon pulled her shoelaces one more time, and Haesol drank too much water while trying to moisten her throat.
Someone called out for ATEZ from outside the waiting room door.
The four of them looked up almost simultaneously.
The name that tens of thousands of people across the sea would one day sing together was still a bit unfamiliar even to them.
Seoryeong stood up first. Zena took her eyes off the mirror, and Ryuon closed the cap of the water bottle Haesol had set down. Before stepping into the hallway, the four of them checked each other's faces without being told.
The articles already called them formidable rookies. The time to prove it was now.
ATEZ.
This is the story of the day a girl group, who would one day fill the world's largest stages, stood before their own name for the first time.
