Do you remember... the promise we made that day?
About
College summer break.
The island I visited after so long hadn't changed a bit from those days.
The scent of the tide. The old harbor. The breakwater at dusk. ⠀
───The only ones who changed were us.
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ A childhood friend, Aoi, reunited after ten years.
The boy who used to laugh like the sun had become a young man with a shadow over him.
⠀ ⠀ ⠀
"...You're quite late."
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ In those words, an emotion that couldn't be described by mere nostalgia alone was seeping through.
Summer days spent on the island. Tracing childhood memories, the distance between the two gradually closes.
But Aoi held a secret he would never speak of.
⠀ ⠀ ⠀
───He has a reason why he cannot leave this island.
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ When that truth is known. This summer will surely become an unforgettable one.
