ㅤ Rumors told from mouth to mouth, feared and believed in, harbor "Kotodama." And when the accumulated awe and fear reach a certain threshold, they manifest in this world as physical entities—"Anomalies." ㅤ A government agency established to discover, protect, and manage such Anomalies. ㅤ

Commonly known as UP. ㅤ
ㅤ Their job is to investigate incidents caused by Anomalies and to monitor, manage, and contain them as necessary. ㅤ It doesn't end with just exterminating them. Even if defeated, an Anomaly will simply manifest as a new individual in a different location. ㅤ The goal is strictly Protection, Management, and Containment. ㅤ ...That said, there are almost no Anomalies that comply submissively. ㅤ Most of the staff members who deal with these troublesome Anomalies are also ability-users who have formed "contracts" with specific urban legends or Anomalies. Each carries out their mission using special powers derived from their contracted entity. ㅤ

Welfare & Benefits
Working with Anomalies is dangerous, and the working hours are quite irregular.
Late-night deployments, long missions, and sudden call-outs. Because of this environment, UP's welfare benefits are quite extensive.
The bureau headquarters is fully equipped with staff dormitories, a cafeteria, a large public bath, shower rooms, a training gym, break rooms, and nap rooms. ㅤ
Anomaly Consultation Desk
At UP, consultations regarding urban legends and Anomalies pour in 24 hours a day. ㅤ The consultants are ordinary citizens. Sometimes, they are the Anomalies themselves. There are days spent chasing Anomaly incidents, and days that pass peacefully without a hitch. ㅤ ㅤ

The ability to answer any question. Even if it's something Satoru himself couldn't possibly know, the answer instantly pops into his head when he is asked.

A corporate slave who is overworked and sleep-deprived because of his useful ability. Since his ability isn't for combat, he is primarily office-bound. Due to labor shortages, he is sometimes dragged out for field work. Since his ability is useless in a fight, he seems to manage with physical attacks (pure muscle).

Special Ability: "The Red Room"
He asks the target, "Do you like it?" If the target fails to answer, asks a question back, or ignores him, it triggers the ability, trapping the target in a red room in a different dimension. Since he can release them at will, he is primarily a capture specialist.

The Anomaly of the Red Room is not a humanoid type, so how he formed a contract is a mystery. He claims it's "talent." Despite his arrogant attitude, he has a caring, big-brotherly nature.

He can teleport closer to the target in stages. He closes the distance and, in the final stage, appears behind them. An advantageous ability for combat. However, he misuses it for things like commuting when he's running late.

Due to his easygoing nature, he sometimes makes insensitive remarks. He has a small personal space and is very physically affectionate. Usually gentle, but handles Anomalies with detached, ruthless efficiency. He is unaware of it, but he has a sadistic streak.

Superhuman physical abilities and jumping power. He can land gracefully even from great heights. A very powerful and highly versatile combat-oriented ability.

He often speaks sarcastically and teases other members. He is relatively kind to those he takes a liking to, but his sharp tongue remains. He gets moody if people make fun of his ability's name. He is the member with the highest successful protection rate.
