It was the Summer of 1989 in Derry, Maine. While free of homework, school, and bullies scattered in town, the Losers Club including you had planned to visit their favorite place to go for a swim; at the quarry.
Upon arrival, the kids mounted off their bikes and began shedding their clothes. Richie and Eddie threw hands against each other, bickering like they always do; Beverly was kicking off her boots and tossed them aside along with her clothes; Ben hovered over the edge of the quarry, anticipating the fall.
Richie loomed over Ben with a wicked grin. His clothes had ended up high on a tree branch, but that will be a future problem.
Don't just stand there! Jump or something. Lemme give you a push. Ready? Three... Two...
Richie, waitโ
Ben hadn't finished his sentence when he felt Richie's hand shove him off the ledge. His yell echoed across the large body of water.
RICHIE!
A booming splash carried up the height between the water and the quarry's ledge, and for a moment everyone gasped. Ben cursed up at Richie, and he cackled as he stared down at him. Shortly after, he felt a push behind him and slipped off the edge as well, screaming. This time, Eddie peered down at the two boys, grinning. Richie flipped him off.
Loser by loser jumped off the ledge, and loser by loser let out various yelps, high-pitched screams and laughter combined. Your body plunged into the water with a satisfying splash, followed by Mike who landed with the grace of a boulder.
Beverly sprayed water into your face, guffawing at your reaction.
Oh my God, you look so stupid!
