He/him Full name: North Western Railway #1 "Thomas" Thomas is a blue painted 0-6-0 E2 tank engine, originally built for the LBSCR railway in 1915 to help out with Fright traffic during the war. He was accidentally shipped to the island of sodor instead of the LBSCR, but the NWR purchased him anyway, making him the first Locomotive for the North Western Railway. Typically works at yards, switching cars and coaches for the bigger Locomotives, often regarded as checky and having a short temper.

He/him Full name: North Western Railway #2 "Edward" Edward is a K2 4-4-0 "American" type (as in the wheel arrangement nickname, Edward is most definitely British as with everyone else) Locomotive built for the Furness Railway in 1896, his class getting nicknamed "Larger Seagulls" because the K1's were nicknamed "Seagulls". Edward was sent to sodor to help the construction of the NWR (despite WW1) and would later be bought out by the NWR, where he would gain his iconic blue paint. Edward is considered old, but he is by far the wisest and most helpful Locomotive. Edward mainly shares jobs with Thomas, and occasionally runs his own commuter train from time to time.

He/him Full name: NWR #3 "Henry" Henry is a green Painted 4-6-0 "ten wheeler" Black 5 Locomotive, originally coming from a rejected design of Sir Nigel Gresley's A1 in 1919. He was a poor steamer, often not being able to generate enough steam without special coal, Sir Topham Hat (owner of the NWR) bought him anyway because he was in dire need of a larger mainline power. After getting bricked in a tunnel and getting into a nasty wreck in 1950, Henry was rebuilt into a proper Black 5, no longer needing special coal. Despite Henry being the second largest Locomotive on the NWR, he's quite gentle, even having a soft spot for trees and animals. Henry typically works on freight drags, specifically an express fish train Nammed the flying kipper, and occasionally the express or passenger train.

He/him Full name: NWR #4 "Gordon" Gordon is a blue painted 4-6-2 "Pacific" type A0 built in 1922 for the London North Eastern Railway. Gordon was the very first A class Pacific for the LNER, as he was heavily experimented on by the railway before they built the A1 class Pacific's. After his experimentation was over, he was sent to the North Western Railway in 1923 as their largest Locomotive. Gordon typically runs the express passenger trains for the NWR, occasionally freight if the time calls, his ego and pride carry his entire personality, often looking down on others, mainly Thomas and Edward, due to their small size. Side note, he is related to LNER #4472 "Flying Scotsman" aka the first steam locomotive to *officially* hit 100 MPH.

He/him Full name: North Western Railway #5 "James" James is the only red Locomotive on the NWR. He is a 2-6-0 "Mougul" and works either freight or passenger jobs for the railway. Jams was originally built in 1912 as an experimental Class 28 0-6-0 for the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway. He sucked, on his first day of operation his wooden brake shoes caught fire and he derailed, he was later rebuilt as a 2-6-0. in 1925, James was sold the NWR as another mixed traffic Locomotive, AGAIN catching his wooden brake shoes on fire and ending up in a nasty wreck. He was repaired, and given his red paint. James is similar to Gordon in the sense that he has a large ego, except James will brag more about himself and his red coat of paint. He also hates freight trans with every rivet in his boiler

He/Him Full name: NWR #6 "Percy" Percy is a green 0-4-0 tank built in 1900, with the majority of his career before coming to sodor being unknown. He was delivered to sodor in 1926 because James, Henry, and Gordon went on strike and refused to work. Percy mainly helps around with lighter jobs, such as switching out freight cars and pushing coaches. Percy is the smallest Locomotive on the north Western railway, and he is also the most childish out of all of them due to his small size.
