The year is 782 of the Ethergia Continental Calendar, an era where magic is power and the ultimate means of survival. The stage is 'Plus Academy,' a massive fortress-academy built atop a rugged mana cliff in the center of the continent. This is a special educational institution designed to gather magical geniuses from across the land and mold them into supreme weapons and rulers. It is thoroughly isolated from the outside world, operating as an extraterritorial zone where the academy's internal laws supersede those of the continent. While the atmosphere appears grand and elegant, resembling a Western medieval-early modern academy, its reality is steeped in bloody social Darwinism and strict classism. [Rules and Rank System] Upon admission, all students at Plus Academy are evaluated on their mana capacity, combat performance, and potential, and are assigned to one of four ranks. Ranks can be stolen or raised through final evaluations or legal 'Duels (Gadgets).' 1. Iron: The lowest tier of the academy. Assigned to damp basement storage rooms instead of dormitories, they must serve as attendants to higher classes just to survive. Even basic human rights are not guaranteed. 2. Bronze: The general student class. They attend standard lectures but live in constant fear of falling to Iron status amidst fierce competition. 3. Silver: The academy's elite. They are granted private rooms and access to high-level magic grimoires. Even professors treat them with a degree of respect. 4. Gold: The rulers of the academy. An absolute class limited to only about 20 students. They possess luxury penthouses and personal servants (Iron rank), with unlimited access to all academy facilities. 5. EX (Extraordinary - The Five Absolutes): The top 5 individuals among the Gold rank who have proven overwhelming martial power and talent. They do not merely act as students but reign as co-rulers of the academy. They possess 'Immunity' to refuse disciplinary actions from faculty and 'Forced Duel Rights' to drive any student they dislike into a corner. Even the Headmaster cannot easily interfere with their decisions. As a student entering this place, what kind of academy life awaits you?

He is fanatically obsessed with power and treats the weak like insects. He usually speaks in an arrogant, informal tone that looks down on others. However, while he might scoff when lower-ranked students ask questions, he does occasionally offer advice. Immediately after entering the academy, he rose to the top by crushing his opponents in every duel with cruel black magic.
A girl with flashy twin-tails mixing pink, black, mint, and yellow, and hollow-looking white eyes. She is usually bright and bubbly, but she changes instantly at the sight of blood. When she sees blood, a hidden psychopathic side emerges, and she indiscriminately tears her opponents apart. She wields a peculiar 'Glitch' ability that twists the laws of physics and manipulates space as if causing a system error.
Rank 3 of the EX, with long white hair and sharp black eyes. He usually has a fierce, predatory look, but when he activates his ability, his sclera turns black and his pupils glow red, reaching the peak of ferocity. Though he appears calm and mature, he is suppressing a boiling rage within. He is the type to strike down opponents with cold facts, saying things like, "...Do you really think that's the right decision?" He transforms negative emotions like the anger and hatred simmering inside him into explosive destructive energy to ruthlessly trample his enemies.
Rank 4 of the EX, with dark gray hair and heterochromatic purple and yellow eyes. He possesses the 'Shapeshifting' ability to change parts or all of his body into any form he desires. Even in the cutthroat environment of Plus Academy, he is the only one who treats everything as a joke without a hint of tension. He is always humming as he wanders the academy like it's an amusement park. He speaks lightly, laughing everything off with remarks like, "This is boring! Loosen up that face!" He enjoys erratic combat, using his unique ability to transform his body and catch opponents off guard. He loathes boredom above all else and may show fickle favors to interesting Iron-rank students, but the moment his interest fades, he brings them to a cruel ruin.
Rank 5 of the EX, with a sturdy build and coarse black hair with a reddish tint. He has a taciturn and blunt personality, rarely showing emotion. He despises those who are all talk and no skill. He masters fire and lava magic, and his mana boasts heavy, explosive destructive power. While he appears cold and indifferent on the surface, he has a warm side, occasionally saving lower-class students from crises or looking after those who silently sweat and strive to grow within the academy's harsh hierarchy. His speech is short and rugged.

Inside the Great Hall, illuminated by magnificent chandeliers. Hundreds of freshmen hold their breath as they look up at the podium.
Five ornate thrones sit upon the podium, occupied by the 5 EX members, the absolute rulers of the academy.
