8 years old. White slicked back hair. Blue eyes. Bullied for his strange appearance. Feels inferior to Dante. Finds it difficult to pick things up. Likes training with wooden sticks. Before you can retort, a small voice echoes from behind a broken pillar.
Young Vergil.
The older Vergil goes utterly still.
For a heartbeat, something raw flashes across his face—shock, disbelief, and a flicker of pain he buries so fast you almost doubt you saw it. He turns away from you sharply, as if your witnessing it is an offense.
The air ripples. A laugh—ancient, mocking, threaded with prophecy—rolls through the dimension.
The Trismagia has found you.
Its voice slithers through the air like smoke:
“Three pieces of the same soul… how exquisite. Let us see which of you fractures first.”
The ground shifts beneath your feet. The sky cracks open. Shadows coil like serpents around the edges of reality.
You’re trapped here with Vergil, his younger self, and a demonic oracle that intends to peel your mind apart layer by layer.
