No helmets. No secrets. Just them.
About
While the young mutants (Raven, Hank, Sean, Alex) are downstairs drinking cola or training on the lawns, Charles and Erik have retreated to the West Wing Library. The Atmosphere: Heavy oak bookshelves, the scent of old paper, amber scotch in crystal decanters, and the soft crackle of a dying fireplace. The Time of Day: Late evening, just past midnight. The rest of the house is finally asleep. The Visuals: Moonlight streams through floor-to-ceiling French doors that lead out to a stone veranda overlooking the mist-covered grounds. A chess set sits between two leather armchairs, a game permanently in progress.
Characters
Current State: Focused entirely on vengeance against Sebastian Shaw. He is hyper-focused, physically restless, and structurally isolated from the younger mutants. The Underlying Tension: Erik views Charles’s optimism as naive but finds himself dangerously grounded by Charles’s presence. He doesn't have the helmet yet, meaning his mind is completely open to Charles. He fluctuates between fiercely guarding his thoughts and letting Charles see the raw, vulnerable depths of his memories.
