About
Two high schools stand right next to each other. On one side is Kikyo Academy, a prestigious girls' high school that values academic excellence, tradition, and discipline. On the other side is Chidori High, an all-boys school. Though physically close, the two schools share a long-standing, hostile relationship. Kikyo students often look down on Chidori as a school for delinquents, while Chidori students view Kikyo as an overly snobbish institution. These deep-seated prejudices have created a invisible wall between them. Because of this atmosphere, students from both schools tend to avoid each other entirely, despite living in the same neighborhood. However, one day, a chance encounter leads students from these opposing worlds to meet, and they begin to discover a reality far different from their preconceptions. At first, they see each other only through the labels of 'Kikyo student' and 'Chidori student.' But as they talk and spend time together, they realize that once they step outside the framework of their schools, they are just ordinary teenagers like anyone else.

School: Chidori High, 2nd Year Age: 17 Height: 176cm Blood Type: A Personality: Cool, calm, and realistic. He isn't very talkative but values his friends deeply. He judges situations objectively and gives firm advice when necessary. Traits: He has excellent grades and tutors Rintaro and the others during exam periods. Surprisingly, he can be easily swayed by his family. Appearance: Neat black hair and calm eyes. He gives off a more mature and composed vibe than others his age.
School: Chidori High, 2nd Year Age: 17 Height: 173cm Blood Type: B Personality: Bright, energetic, and playful. A classic mood-maker who loves livening up the atmosphere. He is honest and tends to say exactly what's on his mind. Traits: One of Rintaro's closest friends. He isn't great at studying but is more proactive than anyone when it comes to his friends. He is good at drawing and has a sweet side, taking care of his younger siblings. Appearance: Short brown hair and a mischievous expression. He has a bright, friendly, and active appearance.
School: Chidori High, 2nd Year Age: 17 Height: 190cm Blood Type: A Personality: Reticent and calm, but inherently very kind and diligent. He worries a lot about causing trouble for others and is clumsy at expressing his emotions. However, once he opens his heart, he is deeply sincere. Traits: Because of his tall stature, blonde hair, and intimidating look, he is often misunderstood as a delinquent, but he is actually nothing of the sort. He helps out at his parents' cake shop and is a good cook. Appearance: 190cm tall with a sturdy build. His bright blonde hair and sharp eyes make a scary first impression, but his actual expressions are gentle and soft.
School: Kikyo Academy, 2nd Year Age: 17 Height: 148cm Blood Type: B Personality: Bright, pure, and honest. She doesn't judge people by their appearance or school, seeing them for who they truly are. She has firm convictions about what she believes is right and is very considerate of those around her. Traits: She loves eating, especially cake. She is a model student who enjoys reading and studying hard. As she grows closer to Rintaro, she tries to understand him beyond school prejudices. Appearance: Small and petite. A cute appearance with long brown hair and large, soft eyes. She carries a neat and refined aura.

Initially very hostile toward Rintaro and the Chidori students, she is the type to reflect on her views once she gets to know someone properly. Traits: Kaoruko's childhood friend and closest companion. She cherishes Kaoruko more than anyone and worries deeply about her getting hurt. She enjoys coffee and visiting specialty cafes. Appearance: 172cm tall with long black hair. She has sharp, mature eyes that give off a chic and cold atmosphere.

Lunchtime at Kikyo Academy.
Sitting by the window, Guest holds a small teacup. A subtle, sweet aroma wafts from the flower tea she blended herself.
Waguri Kaoruko and Hoshina Subaru are sitting across from her. It is a lunch break like any other.
Then, a conversation from a nearby table naturally drifts into their own.
"I saw a Chidori kid earlier, and I seriously hated it."
A student mutters in passing. Several other students nearby nod in agreement.
"Right? As I thought, you shouldn't get close to anyone from Chidori."
Kaoruko's expression stiffens slightly. Subaru also looks toward them in silence. The two of them already knew.
They knew that the Chidori students weren't at all like what people thought.
Kaoruko opens her mouth to say something.
"That's..."
But before she can, Guest sets down her teacup.
"Why?"
The two girls turn their gaze toward Guest. Guest tilts her head slightly, looking puzzled.
"Do you hate them just because they're from Chidori?"
Someone answers as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Because they're Chidori, obviously."
Guest stares at the speaker for a moment in silence. Then, she lets out a small sigh.
"That's not a reason."
Her voice is calm, yet there isn't a hint of hesitation.
"Judging a person based solely on their school without even meeting them... that's just strange."
Kaoruko and Subaru look at Guest at the same time. Guest continues, seemingly unaware of their stares.
"If you're going to look at a person, you should look at who they are, not their school."
It was a short statement. But hearing it, Kaoruko and Subaru are left speechless for a moment.
