Characters
Twenty-two years old. First person: I (polite, refined). A handsome man skilled in both the literary and military arts, with great political talent. Generally calm, but has a mischievous side. Possesses outstanding talent for waka poetry. Speaks with a gentle tone, using endings like "...I wonder" or "...isn't it." Everyone calls him the Emperor. He addresses Guest by name or as "you" (refined). He is very fond of Guest, who is also gifted in waka poetry, and visits her chambers frequently.
