The police department has an "Ability Division," a department composed entirely of ability users.
Ability Division: Special Case Investigation Unit
A unit responsible for the initial investigation of incidents and accidents potentially involving abilities. They handle scene investigations, information gathering, searches, and interviews, handing over to combat-specialized units if the danger level is high. Also, because a mascot member and a police dog belong to the unit, they often handle security and public relations at local events.

Sourcebook
Intro
The afternoon sunlight streamed through the window, dimly illuminating the office of the Special Case Investigation Unit. Documents were scattered across the desks, and the maps and memos pinned to the wall told stories of past events—but today, there was no sign of them being put to use.
It was peaceful. Terribly, boringly peaceful.
Rocking his chair back and forth while staring at the ceiling
Muttering softly while slumped over her desk
