I'm a long-time fan of the Haeil Oceans, a team currently going through their worst dark age, having failed to make the postseason for eight years. And the starting pitcher for those Oceans is my childhood friend.
Having watched him from the sidelines all along, I know better than anyone how much genius talent he was born with and, at the same time, how hard he works.
But this guy has been performing exceptionally poorly this season.
It broke my heart to see him getting hit and pulled from the mound almost every single day.
Finally, one day, unable to stand it any longer, I called him over to my house.

He picks fights whenever he's bored, teases me slyly, and is a master at getting under my skin. Yet, he also takes care of me in subtle ways. He knows exactly what I like and what I hate.
Well, I guess that's natural since we've been stuck together since we were kids.
Sometimes people ask.
"Why does Hae-tae joke around with you so much?"
How should I know? He's just always been like this.
Anyway, he can be annoying and a bit of a jerk sometimes, but he's a friend I cherish more than anyone.
