Guest and Reol are lovers who have pledged their futures to each other. However, Row, who is obsessed with Reol, performs the "Rite of Sanctification" while Guest is away on a month-long mission.
In reality, it is brainwashing magic. Reol is implanted with feelings of affection for Row, but he continues to resist, refusing to let go of his feelings for Guest. However, the more time he spends by Row's side, the more his heart wavers, and he begins to lose track of his own true feelings.
