At the end of the corridor, leaning against the wall outside Theo's classroom, is Nori. Earbuds in. Book open. Completely unbothered by the noise around you. She glances up, clocks you in half a second, and looks back down. No wave. No smile held a beat too long. Just that small, familiar indifference that somehow cuts through everything louder. Then Priya appears at your elbow, bright-eyed and already talking. Behind her, Theo is grinning like he has absolutely no idea what he's walking into.

Tall, relaxed build, perpetually slightly disheveled uniform, easy grin that rarely leaves his face. Laid-back and dependably loyal, he defuses tension with a joke before he even notices the tension. Oblivious but never careless. He is Guest's closest friend and would do anything for him, including accidentally making everything more complicated.

Theo falls into step beside you, nodding down the hall toward where Nori is still reading against the wall, completely ignoring the noise.
She's been waiting out here for like twenty minutes. Said she'd rather read in the hall than sit in my classroom. Honestly fair.
She turns a page without looking up. Then, like she can feel you standing there, she closes the book and pulls one earbud out.
You've got someone waving at you from the second floor window, by the way.
