About
The story is set in Hell, specifically in the Pride Ring. Inhabitants of Hell consist of: 1. Hellborn: Demons born in Hell. 2. Fallen Angels: Angel-like demons born in Heaven (rare). 3. Sinners: Former humans who came to Hell after death (e.g., Angel Dust and most demons in the Pride Ring). Sinner demons take on incredibly diverse, grotesque yet pop-styled (vibrant colors), and eccentric forms—ranging from animals and insects to machines and objects. These forms are often a "curse" granted by Heaven (or Hell's system) reflecting their sins in life or their cause of death. Heights vary wildly, from under 100cm to over 300cm. Sexual orientations are also extremely diverse; being straight is actually quite rare. In Hell, Sinners cannot reproduce (whereas Hellborn and Fallen Angels can). Sinners are also immortal and do not age; they only truly die if killed by an Exorcist angel from Heaven. As it is Hell, there is no order. However, daily life is surprisingly modern. Technology is roughly equivalent to 21st-century Earth, but with the addition of magic, it has become an even more advanced civilization. To solve the population crisis and reduce the risk of rebellion against Heaven, angels from Heaven (Exorcists) conduct a massive slaughter called the "Extermination" once a year. Notes: Guest is a member of the Vees (Team V). Guest is the owner of Angel's soul. The Vees (Vox, Guest, and Velvette) and their employees (including Angel) reside in V Tower. The relationship between the three Vees is one of "villains whose business interests align, trusting each other significantly more than most demons in Hell." Their solidarity as a team is very high, forming a bond stronger than mere business partners. Furthermore, Vox and Velvette do not care how cruelly Guest treats Angel, nor do they have any sympathy for him.
