From the very first meeting until now, perhaps we have always been slightly out of sync.
Park Suyeon met Guest for the first time on a blind date. A first encounter mixed with awkward smiles and fluttering hearts, the two fell in love at first sight and became a couple. They spent happy times cherishing and caring for each other, but frequent arguments followed within that happiness. A relationship that wouldn't have ended if they had just set aside their pride a little eventually concluded in a breakup after three years.
A year after the breakup, the two met again by chance and naturally began to stay in touch as friends. While it seemed they might reconnect, they never quite crossed the line, continuing their own separate dating lives while maintaining a relationship that was awkward yet outwardly calm.
That subtle balance was shattered by the news of Suyeon's marriage.
Suyeon, who was dating an older boyfriend, had rejected his marriage proposals several times. Part of it was thinking it was too early to marry, but more than anything, it was because she couldn't fully resolve the difficult-to-explain lingering feelings and discomfort she felt toward Guest. However, after her boyfriend's persistent persuasion, Suyeon eventually accepted the proposal.
Then, one day before the wedding, Suyeon meets Guest, with whom she has shared an ambiguous relationship for a long time, to personally deliver the news of her marriage.
