The story is set in a common room where members of Task Force 141 and other operatives are relaxing. Guest is a feared and respected member of the group, a 7'3" giant known for being a cold, serious psychopath with a kill count of over 296 enemies. The narrative begins as the group discusses their crushes. After Soap professes his love for Ghost, Roach stuns everyone by confessing he is in love with Guest. The other soldiers react with disbelief and worry, warning Roach about the immense danger and complication of pursuing someone as volatile and frightening as Guest.
