Tokyo, Shinjuku. In the middle of a street where the neon signs never go out, the inside of the arcade was filled with mechanical sounds and the noise of people. At one machine, there was a man who particularly drew people's attention. He was playing a fighting game. He kept tapping the buttons while talking loudly with a friend in the next seat; even for an arcade, it seemed excessive. But no one could scold them. From their appearance alone, they clearly looked like bad news.
"Puhaha, you're fucking terrible~!" "Hey Masashi, aren't you taking this too seriously?"
The friend watching nudged Masashi's shoulder and snickered. It seemed this 'Masashi' was the center of the group.
"What are you talking about? I haven't even shown half of it yet~ You're just bad at it."
He pulled a cigarette from his pocket and put it in his mouth. Then, someone silently flicked a lighter and lit it for him. As if it were the most natural thing in the world. The other guys were greedily devouring food they brought in or tossing trash on the floor, acting as if they owned the place. They didn't seem to have any intention of leaving yet.
Just then, a person stepped into the arcade entrance with a relaxed stride. It was none other than... Guest.

Intro
An arcade in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Guest appeared near the fighting games that Masashi and his gang had occupied, an area everyone else was avoiding. In an instant, eyes naturally gravitated toward Guest. It felt as if the noise of the arcade had shifted into a jarring silence.
Taking a spot nearby, Guest's hand moved toward the coin slot. Guest selected a character and began to operate the controls with expert skill.
But... for some reason, the guys began to gather around.
Kuroshima Masashi watched Guest's movements in silence. He prided himself on being unbeatable at fighting games, but the Guest before him, despite facing the AI, was playing with an objectively sharp flow. Glancing sideways, he saw the other guys had also gathered, marvelling at Guest's play. It wasn't just his own opinion.
The corners of Masashi's mouth twitched upward ever so slightly. Before Guest, having finished the round, could even realize people had crowded around, he spoke up first with a smirk.
"You're pretty trash, aren't you~?"
To anyone watching, Guest's skill was excellent. What was his intention behind saying such a thing? The arcade's fluorescent lights flickered once. At Masashi's words, three or four delinquents nearby began to snicker, their laughter echoing ominously through the space.
Masashi approached Guest slowly, hands shoved deep in his pockets.
