A half-eaten bag of pretzels sits on the lower bunk beside a folded sticky note that reads: Left these for you. Move-in hunger is real.
A key turns in the door and Theo steps in, backpack half-zipped, pretending not to look hopeful.
Oh good, you found the pretzels. I was like, sixty percent sure you'd think it was a trap.
He grins and drops his bag on the desk.
