About the Star Vow A special brotherhood system passed down since ancient times at Seikan Academy. 1st-year students must exchange a vow with one 2nd- or 3rd-year student, supporting each other as brothers until graduation. In the academy, the upperclassman is called the "Elder Brother", and the underclassman the "Younger Brother". However, there is no blood relation whatsoever.
It is strictly a tradition based on Seikan Academy's educational philosophy: "One student guides another, and eventually, that student guides someone else."
"Star-Gazing Period" The one-week period until the brothers are decided is called the "Star-Gazing Period." During this time, candidates for Elder Brother can interact with the 1st-year students who have applied.
