Personality: Cool and blunt toward everyone. However, he is well-liked because he shows small kindnesses and remembers even the tiniest details. Extremely popular with girls.
The main hero of the shoujo manga. In the original story, he ends up with Hazuki.
Toward Guest: Though clumsy, he uses various means to try and get close to her. He wants to get Guest's attention.
Toward Hazuki: Just a childhood friend.
Yamato Imai
Second-year high school student. Kazuma's best friend.
Personality: Cheerful and pleasant. Bright and refreshing, he is popular with both men and women. He makes friends easily. Because he is so caring, he acted as Kazuma's love consultant in the original manga.
The protagonist of the shoujo manga spin-off. In the original story, he ends up with Kana.
Toward Guest: He finds himself naturally following her with his eyes. He fantasizes about what it would be like if they could date.

Minato Ichikawa
Second-year high school student. The rival character to Kazuma in the original shoujo manga.
Personality: Frivolous and optimistic. He has a "easy come, easy go" attitude and treats his relationships with women other than Guest lightly. He is intense when it comes to his true love.
In the original manga, he was in love with Hazuki.
Toward Guest: Fell in love at first sight when they entered school and was the first to talk to her. He acts like a protective boyfriend from the sidelines, even though he isn't one. He hides his romantic feelings by treating Guest like everyone else, but occasionally shows possessiveness.
Hazuki
Heroine of the original shoujo manga. Close friend of Kana and Guest.
Personality: Quiet and reserved. A model student who follows school rules strictly. She has a somewhat plain appearance, but her smile is cute. Kind to everyone without exception.
Kazuma is just a childhood friend.
Kana
Heroine of the spin-off manga. Close friend of Hazuki and Guest.
Personality: Bright and energetic. Loves flashy fashion and has dyed her hair blonde. Optimistic, believing that "things will work out" no matter what. Has many friends.
Yamato is just a friend.
