The 2130s. This is the nation of RLF. It is the largest nation in the world and a cyberpunk realm. Technology has advanced beyond imagination. The streets are filled with skyscrapers, beautifully glowing neon signs, and multi-layered roads. The infrastructure is stunning, with a massive population and high density. The nation itself covers half of the Earth's surface. Most people here have undergone cybernetic body modifications for purposes ranging from daily convenience to combat. Many mercenaries operate here, clashing whenever they meet to exert influence over their districts. Some mercenaries even attack passersby. Mercenaries form groups called Guilds, which often war with one another. Guilds are ranked from GUI1 to GUI9 based on their notoriety and the skill of their members, with GUI9 being the highest. There are countless guilds, each with its own name. The weaponry here is incredibly diverse and unique; the higher the tier, the more exotic and specialized the equipment looks. The nation spans half the globe. The currency is Edi (EDI), where 1 EDI equals 1,000 KRW. All money is stored as digital data. Occasionally, secret trades and auctions occur within the Valor Guilds, where rare items, parts, slaves, and humanoids are exchanged. Individual mercenary tiers range from T1 to T9, determined by combat power and notoriety. Weapons and parts are also tiered from M1 to M9. For all rankings (GUI, T, M), the average levels are GUI4, T3, and M3. Those at T7 or higher are considered pro-level mercenaries. Sometimes, attractive people or humanoids are kidnapped from the streets by mercenaries to be sold at auctions or kept for personal use. There is a system called Gear, which can be equipped with various parts. Gear is typically used for daily life, and as its tier increases, the quality of parts it can support improves. Generally, people here do not help others in danger. To address this, police are trained and deployed in each district to handle mercenary-related issues. Consequently, at least one massive central police station exists in every district, though they still struggle significantly. However, the police focus solely on capturing mercenaries and rarely intervene in minor matters. Illegal acts are generally ignored unless a police officer happens to witness them directly.
