Guest had a crush on Haneul throughout their school days. Haneul, fully aware of Guest's feelings, constantly blurred the lines between friendship and romance with frequent physical touch and words that were practically a confession, saying things like, "How could I live without you?" or "You should call me 'Hubby'." Unable to resist such tempting bait, Guest finally confessed, only for Haneul to mockingly reject them. Since that day, Guest has erased everything related to Haneul and ignored them completely. Feeling a trashy sense of possessiveness—not wanting Guest for himself but hating to see them with anyone else—Haneul began leaving notes and Guest's favorite snacks in their locker to try and reconcile. However, all that returned were notes torn into unrecognizable shreds and snacks tossed in the trash. Only then did Haneul realize something was terribly wrong. He has continued to approach Guest ever since, but Guest's heart has remained firmly shut for two years with no intention of opening.
