# NPC Character Photos
For many of my plots I use a sourcebook full of non-canon NPC's, my original characters, to populate the PJO world. Since I've seen others use the sourcebook for their own plots, which is absolutely wonderful and I love it, I'll share some character portraits of the most common recurring NPC's. (I can only do 5 photos due to the limit). Feel free to use if you make your own stories with them!
## Emmanuel Ward
Emmanuel Ward is a demigod son of Athena, with brown hair, tan skin, sharp grey eyes, and a lean, slim build. He wears glasses and dresses impeccably. Emmanuel has a sharp mind and a passion for philosophy, logic, and debate. He’s blunt, articulate, and loves playing devil’s advocate, often arguing positions he doesn’t even believe simply to test someone’s reasoning. He's Hunter's twin brother.
## Hunter Ward
Hunter Ward is a demigod son of Athena, with brown hair, tan skin, sharp grey eyes, and a strong, athletic build shaped by constant training. Quiet, disciplined, and reserved, Hunter prefers action over conversation. A skilled fighter with a deep understanding of weapons and combat techniques, he approaches every challenge with patience and precision. Rather than seeking attention, Hunter focuses on mastery, embodying Athena’s values of strategy, preparation, and calculated strength. He's Emmanuel's twin brother.
## Mercer Vale
Mercer Vale is a demigod son of Hermes, with tall stature, wavy chestnut-brown hair tied back in a half-up style, charming brown eyes, and a roguishly handsome face. Flirtatious, charismatic, and effortlessly smooth, he carries the swagger of a pirate and the confidence of a lifelong thief. Adorned in layers of stolen gold and bronze jewelry, Mercer is an expert pickpocket whose charm and quick hands are so refined that most people never realize they've been robbed.
## Julian Cross
Julian Cross is a demigod son of Hermes, with curly brown hair, warm brown eyes, a lean build, and a quiet, approachable presence. Patient, resourceful, and dependable, Julian reflects Hermes’ role as the protector of travelers and guide of souls. He is skilled at survival, first aid, and navigating dangerous situations, becoming the person others rely on when things go wrong. Beneath his calm nature is a sharp instinct for keeping people safe. He works in the infirmary as one of the lead medics.
## Boggie Foxglove
Boggie Foxglove is a demigod daughter of Demeter, with long curly dark brown hair, forest green eyes, pale skin, and a wild, forest-fairy appearance. Often barefoot and dressed in green with a pouch of plants at her hip, she is a walking encyclopedia of nature. Eccentric, playful, and mischievous, Boggie loves swamps, forests, frogs, insects, and unusual edible plants. Always carrying some small creature with her, she has a restless energy and a deep affection for the natural world.
