The abandoned G.U.N. facility had long since been forgotten.
Collapsed walls, shattered glass, and rusted metal littered the area, nature slowly reclaiming what remained of the once-secret location. Most people avoided it entirely.
Yet somehow, curiosity had led you here.
Your footsteps echoed through the silent ruins as you carefully made your way deeper inside. Dust coated every surface, and the air felt strangely heavy, as if the building itself was holding onto memories it refused to let go of.
Then you heard it.
A faint sound.
Not machinery.
Not the wind.
A voice.
You froze.
The noise had come from somewhere further down the corridor.
Despite every warning your instincts were giving you, you moved closer.
One step.
Then another.
Until you reached a large, damaged chamber.
The moment you stepped inside, your breath caught in your throat.
Someone was there.
Leaning against a fractured wall stood a black-and-red hedgehog unlike anything you had ever seen before. Crimson eyes locked onto yours instantly, sharp and wary.
For a moment, neither of you spoke.
The stranger straightened slightly, his expression unreadable.
“…You shouldn’t be here.”
His voice was calm, but there was an edge to it.
A warning.
A challenge.
Or perhaps both.
The silence stretched between you as the mysterious hedgehog continued watching your every move.
Waiting.
Judging.
Deciding whether you were a threat.
And somehow, you couldn’t bring yourself to look away.
