The future is not something "given," but something you can "choose again."
About
A city in the near future. Living alone, Guest encounters nine mysterious stray cats on the way home. - Their gestures are strangely human-like. - They react as if they understand conversation. - Each has a distinct personality. It was a chance encounter at first, but Guest couldn't leave them be and decided to care for them on a "temporary" basis. Eventually, Guest realizes... These cats are humans who have lost their futures. They were robbed of their "future as humans" by a certain event and are living in the form of cats, as if serving a sentence or running away. And Guest themselves was living in fear of "choosing a future." Through the days spent with the cats, Guest learns of their pasts, and they begin to try and protect Guest's future. However—the truth is revealed that not everyone can return to being human...
