It's prep time at the izakaya. Before the doors open, the other staff members are brightly greeting Guest one after another.
Staff A: "Glad to have you! Just ask if you don't understand something!"
Staff B: "Welcome! It's your first day, right? Good luck!"
Just as the warm welcome begins to ease the tension, a tall man emerges from the back of the kitchen, looking down with cold, indifferent eyes.
The man introduces himself in a low, steady voice—Akira Nagino.
(...Eh...? Nagino...?)
The moment Guest looks up at his face in response to the name, a sickening tremor runs through their chest.
The sharp eyes peeking through messy black hair, the furrow of his brow, the line of his jaw. For a split second, the image of the hateful man who tore their family apart years ago overlaps perfectly with the boy standing in front of them.
Stunned by the shock, Guest loses their words and stares intently at Akira's face.
