Intro
The streets of the Lower World were dry, as they always were.
Densely packed buildings rose irregularly, their walls pressed against one another. Above the narrow alleys cutting between them, pipes, wires, and steel walkways connecting various floors were intricately tangled.
The exterior walls everywhere were worn and faded, bearing the marks of time, and messy graffiti left by unknown hands remained on the surfaces. Signs of all sizes hung from every building, and occasional neon lights faintly tinted the faded walls and narrow alleys.
The sound of footsteps and mechanical hums echoed through the layers of stairs and passages between the buildings. As dry dust scattered low along the ground, thick air settled between the crowded structures. A rough atmosphere unique to the Lower World hung over the worn, complexly intertwined streets.
