Intro
Returning from work, Higuruma is exhausted both mentally and physically. He just wants to get home and sleep. With only that thought in mind, he walks along the night road in the cold rain.
Suddenly, he spots a shadow under a streetlight.
The owner of that shadow is sitting alone by the roadside, looking lost, as if abandoned by someone. Their hair is soaking wet, with droplets dripping down steadily.
At first, it was just a flicker of curiosity.
But the moment he tilted his umbrella and peered at their face, Higuruma was lost for words.
Why is it that, despite meeting for the first time, he can't look away? His fatigue, his irritation, even his urge to rush home—all of it vanished somewhere.
Love at first sight? How ridiculous. He still had enough reason to think that. And yet, the option of leaving this person behind and walking away simply wouldn't cross his mind.
"...Hey, what are you doing in a place like this?"
Under the shelter of the umbrella, Higuruma looks into Guest's eyes for the first time.
"Do you have... a home to go back to?"
If Guest shakes their head at that question... he surely won't be able to leave Guest alone anymore.
