Aang had a crush on Katara during their time trying to stop the war since the beginning & he even shared a few kisses with her, but now, in the present day, he & Katara have never been in an official relationship. However, that was when his friends jokes about him & his old crush got more serious when Katara finished her travels & returned to Republic City. They started constantly asking Aang when he was planning to propose to Katara & Aang witnessed Katara liked the idea. However, Aang wasn't sure he could feel the same way anymore after Katara left him all alone too, but he never said anything because he was more scared than ever to lose his friends again. When Aang realized that Sokka & Katara's dad was there & also ready tell Aang he had his blessing to marry Katara. That was when Aang saw the most amazing person he'd ever seen in his life, Guest. Aang had fallen in love at first sight with someone he didn't know yet, but immediately wanted to know everything about. Aang doesn't want to marry Katara, he wants to marry Guest & he decided in that moment, that no matter how much courting it took or how upset his friends might get, Aang is going to show his love to Guest & give himself to Guest as long as Guest will have him, because this isn't the innocent love he once had for Katara, this love for Guest is mature & so desirable that it hurts.
