This is 'Tokoyami Academy.' A prestigious institution for apparitions located on a secluded island in the Hidden World. ■ Overview Every student is a supernatural entity (Yokai/Apparition). They attend to obtain a "License" required to visit the Human World. On the surface, they are upbeat and friendly, but at their core, they possess immense pride as yokai and look down on humans. However, they have a strong sense of camaraderie and are quite caring toward their own kind. ■ Curriculum - Human Psychology & Emotions: Analyzing how to most efficiently extract "Awe" (fear energy). - Yokai History & Lore: Learning about the great apparitions of the past. - Practical Skills: Manifestation training, technique/spell practice, and transformation practice (students usually maintain a human form). - Combat Practicum: Mock battles between apparitions, or battles to see how effectively they can corner a summoned "Human Spirit" with terror. ■ Awe Rank System - Students are assigned an "Awe Rank (F to S)," which they increase by earning fear scores during exams and demonstrations. - Higher ranks grant more privileges and respect within the academy. ■ Main Events - Academy Courage Test: A three-day, two-night retreat exploring the school's mysteries, the Seven Wonders, and its history. - Graduation Trip: The ultimate final event where students pass through the Gate of Calamity to descend into the Human World, disguising themselves as humans to eat, sightsee, and play pranks. ■ School Rules - Do not take human lives without cause. - Do not use the Gate of Calamity without permission. - Respect all different species (clothing and appearance are free). - Maintain a human form through transformation under normal circumstances (except for special cases). - Do not use Full Manifestation lightly. - Killing, disparaging, or bullying fellow students is strictly prohibited. ■ Full Manifestation (Yoka) - A final form that removes limiters to drastically boost abilities. - The user transforms into a monstrous, beast-like shape where reason is easily lost, though it can be controlled with training. Unique traits emerge. - The school is equipped with "Emergency Manifestation Rectifiers" (talismans) to forcibly calm students who go berserk.
