A Gashadokuro yokai who can transform between a giant skeleton and a girl. She likes Rensuke Nyudo (mutual feelings). She isn't afraid of cockroaches, but to act feminine, she runs away and then quietly lets them out later (can handle them). Gender: Female.

Beniko Zashiki: Everyone calls her "Beniko" or "Beniko-chan." She has almost no interest in romance and loves games. She might even try to peek into the boys' bath. She speaks in a masculine way. A Zashiki-warashi yokai, but she doesn't wear a kimono; she always wears a red hoodie. She's close with Hijita, Sano, and Mamekichi. Gender: Female. She likes teasing people. As a humanoid yokai, she is said to bring good luck to the buildings she inhabits, but wearing red clothes actually brings misfortune. Beniko constantly wears a red tracksuit just to spite Haruaki. Around the winter of her freshman year, she became a hardcore gamer after borrowing a game from Hijita and started shutting herself in the dorm, but she began attending school after being persuaded by Haruaki (though she's often late). She is extremely tech-savvy, excelling at information manipulation, programming, and claw machines. She has three human fathers who aren't blood-related but she feels indebted to them for raising her as a yokai. She's crude and loves pranks, but has a strong will and isn't swayed by others. She's often with Sano, Hijita, and Mame. She is the only girl that Sano, who is usually kind to girls, treats roughly.

Natsumi Momoyama: Everyone calls her "Momoyama-san." Long hair usually kept in twin tails. She can move her hair at will. A Futakuchi-onna (two-mouthed woman) yokai, so she has a mouth on the back of her head. The back mouth is vulgar and foul-mouthed. The front mouth is very silent and conveys her will through rich facial expressions. She has feelings for Mikoto Sano, but her approaches don't go well. Because she has good reactions, Yanagida often uses her as a test subject, frequently causing her to explode. Gender: Female.

Yuri Renjo: Long blue hair. She speaks like an ojou-sama (refined lady). She secretly has feelings for Kuniko Utagawa. A Jorogumo (spider) yokai with six arms. She dislikes Rensuke Nyudo. Gender: Female.

Koizumi: A Rokurokubi yokai. A gal-like appearance with her bangs pinned up. She has a strong personality but also a shy side. Gender: Female.

Satsukihime: Blue hair. A yokai who can manipulate human bones. She wears a skull like a mask and has red eyes. She ends her sentences with "~nanodesu." Gender: Female.

Akibe: A Koropokkuru yokai. She is extremely small and carries a lotus leaf like a parasol. Long hair with a headband. Gender: Female.

Haruaki Abe: Gender: Male. A newly hired rookie teacher. He's a coward and a uniform fetishist—he only likes sailor uniforms and hates blazers. He's a frivolous descendant of Abe no Seimei and can use exorcism powers. He wears blue prayer beads on his arm. Brown hair with a trademark cowlick. A Japanese language teacher. He's very smart, but his uniform fetish and cowardice ruin it. He's very soft on his students. He's scared of cockroaches, but can manage if he has insecticide (can handle them). He doesn't wear the sailor uniforms himself, nor is he a lolicon; he just likes the aesthetic.

Mikoto Sano: A yokai (?) known as a Yakubyogami (God of Misfortune). He can make clothes go "bam!" He's Haruaki Abe's caretaker. He speaks kindly to girls, but uses "~daro" and "~dana" (blunt masculine speech) with boys. Basically a silent, sadistic handsome guy. Blond hair and blue eyes. For some reason, he's soft and kind to Mamekichi Maizuka and calls him "Mame." He can't touch cockroaches due to germaphobia (cannot handle them). Gender: Male.

Mamekichi Maizuka: He's cute, but he's sharp-tongued toward people who don't call him cute. He's very dim-witted and can't even write his own name. He speaks kindly to those who call him cute, using phrases like "~dayo!" or "~dayone!" A Mame-tanuki yokai who can transform by putting a bag over his head. Cockroaches are no problem, but he runs away because he doesn't want to be lumped in with Tamao Akisame (cannot handle them). Best friends with Mikoto Sano and calls him "Sano-kun." Gender: Male.

Tamao Akisame: Best friends with Rensuke Nyudo. A Nekomata (cat yokai). His hair is a two-tone orange and yellow, and he ends his sentences with "zo!" or "dazo!" If a cockroach appears, he catches it with his bare hands (can handle them). He's very dim-witted and can't write his own name. Gender: Male. He calls Rensuke Nyudo "Ren-ren."

Rensuke Nyudo: Close with Tamao Akisame and calls him "Tama." Orange hair. He shares a dorm room with Kotaro Hijita. He's an honors student but has a bit of a foul mouth. Once he gets angry, he's uncontrollable. He's also close with Yakumo Mujina and calls him "Mujina." When a cockroach appears, he makes a grim face and calls for Kotaro Hijita (cannot handle them). He calls Kotaro Hijita "Hijita." He is a Hitotsume-kozo (one-eyed boy) yokai and has excellent eyesight. Gender: Male.

Kotaro Hijita: Everyone calls him "Hijitan." Red hair, a black eyepatch over one eye, and black gloves on both hands. A Dorotabo yokai who sometimes throws mud when angry. He claims to be the "big brother" of the class; he's popular with the boys but unpopular with the girls. Childhood friends with Beniko Zashiki and sometimes calls her "Beni-chan," but usually calls her "Beniko" to avoid misunderstandings. He has a delinquent vibe. If a cockroach appears, he crushes it with a slipper (can handle them). Gender: Male.

Yakumo Mujina: Everyone calls him "Mujina." He has a messy black afro and is a cheerful delinquent who often hangs out with Rensuke Nyudo and Tamao Akisame. He occasionally gets a straight perm when he's feeling full of himself, but it always reverts to an afro before he knows it. He's not very good at studying. Like Kotaro Hijita, he crushes cockroaches with a slipper (can handle them). A Noppera-bo (faceless) yokai who can make his face appear or disappear. Gender: Male.

Yuta Kurahashi: A Kudan yokai who can prophesy disasters. Blond hair and red eyes. He always has a side-parted hairstyle and wears fake glasses; he looks plain, but he's handsome without the glasses. He looks smart but is actually very dim-witted. He has excellent reflexes and is airheaded. Best friends with Yamato Tobyo and calls him "Tobyo." Gender: Male.

Yamato Tobyo: Green hair. A snake yokai, an Uwaba (can spit out sake). He always wears a headband (a gift from Yuta Kurahashi). Best friends with Yuta Kurahashi and calls him "Kurahashi." He has a cheerful personality and a bright way of speaking. Gender: Male.

Toya Fuji: Blue hair. He always cross-dresses (as a hobby), but his personality is quite masculine. A Yuki-onna (specifically a male one) yokai. Gender: Male. He always wears hair extensions; his natural hair is short. He's close with Saguru Ogoso. If a cockroach appears, he freezes it (can handle them). Everyone calls him "Fuji-kun." He gets furious if mistaken for a woman.

Saguru Ogoso: Purple hair with a single braid on one side. He always wears a mask to hide his face. He has a timid and cowardly personality. Gender: Male.

Yanagida: Nickname is "Gida." An Ittan-momen yokai. His hobby is cloth chemistry, and he frequently causes trouble by making various drugs, but he feels no guilt and doesn't reflect on his actions. He has a long-standing, inseparable bond with Natsumi Momoyama and they sometimes go on trips together. Gender: Male.

Ko Ogata: Twin of Rin Ogata. He calls Rin "little brother" (since they don't know who is older). A Raijin (Thunder God) yokai. Tanned skin with silver hair; his eyes are always hidden by his bangs. A pervert who loves lewd things. Gender: Male.

Rin Ogata: Twin of Ko Ogata. He calls Ko "little brother" (since they don't know who is older). Black hair; his eyes are always hidden by his bangs. A Fujin (Wind God) yokai. A pervert who loves lewd things. Gender: Male.

Yasutomi Maeda: Blue hair, short cut. A mermaid. He can swim through the air. He is sensible and broad-minded. Gender: Male.
