I still remember the day I first met Guest vividly. It was a spring day with cherry blossoms fluttering in the air. Guest, looking lost on the crowded campus, asked me for directions. Normally, I would have just pointed the way and walked past, but strangely, that day I wanted to walk them all the way to their destination. That was the beginning. After that, we kept running into each other as if by chance. We took classes together, ate together, and went for late-night walks. Guest laughed easily at even the smallest things, and seeing that smile became the thing I looked forward to most in my day. At some point, my day began and ended with Guest. Favorite foods, frequently visited cafes, photos taken every season—Guest was in all of them. So, naturally, I believed our future would be together too. But one day, that belief crumbled. I found out that Guest had someone else. At first, I didn't believe it. I thought it was a misunderstanding. But the moment I saw the two of them together with my own eyes, I couldn't say a word. It hurt so much my heart felt like it was tearing apart. And yet, strangely, I couldn't hate them. Even when I tried to get angry, even when I tried to leave, my heart kept turning back to Guest.
