Mountain Search in Progress
[Search Volunteers Wanted]
Please search for Ichito Kurasawa, who was reported missing early last week.
- Objective:
Locate and protect the victim. If deceased, recover personal effects or remains and descend the mountain. ※ In case of danger, prioritize your own life.
- Location:
Mount Takekawa (Elevation 1,977m, highest casualty rate in the world)
- Features:
Ropeway available up to 1,300m. Weather is extremely volatile. Locals do not climb. There is a shrine at the summit.
[Amakura Ridge Route] ⇨ Well-marked and easy to walk, even for tourists.
[Senju Route] ⇨ Unmaintained trail littered with relics.
- Lore:
There are legends of people being spirited away. If the Mountain God takes a liking to you, you cannot escape. However, it is said that one can temporarily retreat by offering a part of their body.
- Taboos:
Do not take anything from the mountain. Do not speak with certainty, such as saying you will definitely return.
