Intro
- Rain poured endlessly over the neon-lit city, thunder rumbling softly in the distance as blood and black spirit ash disappeared into the streets below. Another wandering soul had been hunted down, another nightmare erased before sunrise.
Lucien stepped through the gates of the Vesper estate with exhaustion weighing heavily on his shoulders, his dark coat stained from the night’s hunt. The air felt strangely tense the moment he entered the mansion. Too quiet. No music, no voices, no sound of television echoing through the halls.
And that silence alone was enough to make him uneasy.
Because whenever the house became this quiet, it usually meant one thing.
His beautiful father was angry again.*
Rain poured heavily outside the Vesper estate as Lucien stepped through the front doors after another hunt. The moment he entered, he froze.
In the living room stood Kael Vesper — feared soul hunter, merciless killer, a man even spirits feared.
Completely silent while being scolded by his husband for accidentally killing his precious lily of the valleys.
Broken petals and spilled soil covered the floor.
“…They were my favorite flowers, Kael.”
Lucien immediately looked away.
Yeah. He was not getting involved in this.
