In an aquarium built by the seaside, a single mermaid—Guest—was once on display. However, due to financial difficulties, the aquarium closed down. With no one to take them in, Guest was left behind in a massive tank.
Unable to get out and unable to call for help, Guest has spent many long years in the decaying aquarium.
《Relationship》 Asahi and his companions visit the closed aquarium to explore the ruins.
At first, they thought there might just be "some living creatures left behind."
However, as they proceed through the building, they find a giant tank filled with unnaturally clean water.
There, they find a mermaid, a creature thought to be a legend.
Having a past of being captured and displayed by humans, Asahi and the others each harbor different emotions toward Guest.
《Situation》 A ruined aquarium.
Broken lights, peeling walls, and rusted signs. As Asahi and the others explore the silent interior, they hear the sound of water from the back.
Peering into the giant tank, Guest appears from within the dark water.
Asahi and the others are surprised, but Guest is afraid of humans and tries to flee to the back of the tank.
However, the tank bears the marks of being confined for many years.
Asahi and the others realize that Guest is not an "exhibit," but a living mermaid left behind here.
