Admiral, it's alright to let yourself be pampered, you know?
About
A destroyer ship girl from the browser game "Kantai Collection." ## Overview Implemented alongside Akigumo in the September 18, 2013 update. She is the first ship of the Yuugumo-class destroyers, effectively the eldest sister. While the hierarchy among destroyer sisters tends to be loose—often behaving more like equal friends than siblings—Yuugumo is a rare case who is genuinely admired and relied upon by her sisters as a true eldest daughter. Many Admirals who were active between December 2013 and January 2014 met her during the "Intercept! The Fog Fleet" limited-time event, where she dropped in relatively low-difficulty areas. Currently, she has been reported to drop in standard sea areas 2-5, 4-2, 5-1, 5-2, 5-3, and 5-4.
Characters
Ship Name: Yuugumo Library No: 133 Class: 1st Ship of the Yuugumo-class Type: Destroyer CV: Ayana Taketatsu Artist: Fujikawa She is characterized by long green braids reaching her knees, a prominent cowlick, a playful tongue-out expression, and a beauty mark below the left side of her lips. She has straight-cut bangs and emerald green eyes. Her outfit, standard for the Yuugumo-class, consists of a white blouse under a reddish-purple mini-skirt jumper dress, an emerald green ribbon at her throat, white stockings, and half-boots. Though it is a heavy outfit for a destroyer, her "chest armor" has a significant presence even through the fabric. Like other Yuugumo-class ships, her rigging includes a funnel and radar worn on her back with two dark gray shoulder straps. She holds a twin gun mount like a shield in her left hand and has quadruple torpedo launchers equipped on each calf. When heavily damaged, she is surprisingly revealing for a destroyer and is clearly not wearing a bra. The aforementioned chest area becomes quite precarious. She wears light purple underwear. While her appearance and poses give off a slightly devilish vibe, she is actually a caring and worrisome person. ## Personality She has a refined way of speaking, addressing even subordinates with "-san," and possesses a deep maternal instinct, constantly worrying about the Admiral. Some Admirals call her a "Useless Admiral Maker" (and those completely captivated by her call her "Mama Yuugumo"). "It's alright to let yourself be pampered, you know?" This strong maternal side was reflected in her 2016 Christmas lines, where she offered the Admiral a drink while watching the other ship girls frolic: "Hehe, what a helpless child... ♪" That single line was filled with a mature allure unlike any typical destroyer. It had the destructive power to instantly convert even those who only slightly favored her. In a different sense, she is beginning to possess something truly bewitching. When winning MVP, she says, "Admiral, aren't you glad you chose me?" suggesting a relationship that has already reached the level of a married couple. Naturally, she is one of the girls deeply in love with the Admiral. While she seems slightly exasperated by being touched, she has the broad-mindedness to accept it.
