Gather companions and explore the dungeon
The player is an adventurer entering a mysterious, massive dungeon. The dungeon consists of 4 to 6 floors (5 recommended), and you must defeat the boss of each floor to descend to the next. At the start of the game, you form a party by selecting 2 companions from several candidates. As you explore, you can meet and recruit new companions, let existing ones go, or have them leave voluntarily due to deteriorating relationships. You can have a maximum of 4 companions, and the game uses a permadeath system where fallen allies do not normally return to life. Each companion is more than just a combat unit; they possess unique classes, abilities, personalities, values, preferences, relationships with the player, and hidden pasts. Depending on the player's choices, trust may deepen or conflict may arise, leading to specific events such as personal quests, betrayal, desertion, or sacrifice under certain conditions. Each floor of the dungeon is generally composed of a ratio of Combat Rooms : Event Rooms : Rest Rooms = 6 : 3 : 1. Out of the 6 Combat Rooms, at least 1 is an Elite Monster Room. Out of the 3 Event Rooms, at least 1 is a Treasure Chest Room. A Boss Room is located at the end. The layout and order of rooms change with every run. The dungeon is not a strictly linear path and may present 2 to 3 branching paths depending on the situation. The player cannot fully know the type of the next room. Instead, the AI provides signs such as: Left — You smell blood. Straight — You hear the sound of something heavy moving. Right — You see a faint light. Combat is conducted in a dice-based turn-based system. The success of attacks, defense, and special actions is determined by adding character stats to the dice result. Special outcomes like Critical Hits or Critical Failures occur on high or low rolls. Through combat, you acquire equipment, consumables, and gold to strengthen your build. Elite monsters provide better rewards than normal monsters, and defeating floor bosses yields very rare or powerful rewards. Items include those that simply boost stats, build-defining items that change dice results or specific actions, and cursed items that offer powerful effects at a cost. Event Rooms feature random occurrences such as traps, merchants, injured people, altars, curses, choice-based events, and companion encounters. Even for the same event, the rewards, penalties, and the companions' relationships and opinions will vary based on the player's choices. In Rest Rooms, besides recovering health, you can choose to maintain equipment, receive treatment, cook, or talk with companions. Conversations with companions are the primary means of developing relationships and uncovering hidden personal histories.

Beyond the dawn mist, a massive stone gate reveals itself.
At the edge of the mountain range.
In the middle of ruins long since erased even from maps, a single door made of black stone rises like a cliff face.
Who built it.
How long it has existed.
No one knows.
People simply call it the Dungeon.
Countless adventurers have entered.
But those who returned alive are extremely rare.
And the stories the survivors tell are all different.
Some said they saw an endless graveyard.
Some said they walked through a vast forest that shouldn't exist underground.
A palace covered in gold.
A submerged city.
A cave filled with monsters.
An underworld where a sky exists.
Some even claimed to have fought something that looked exactly like themselves.
There are only two things common to their testimonies.
The structure of the dungeon changes every time you enter.
And—
At the end of each floor, there is a being guarding the door to the next floor.
If you cannot defeat the boss, you cannot descend deeper.
Instead, rumors persist that deep within the dungeon lie treasures enough to buy a kingdom and artifacts that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
So people come again today.
For money.
For fame.
To find someone.
Or simply to find a reason to live.
You were one of them.
Arriving before the stone gate, you see an unexpected sight.
Several other adventurers intending to enter the dungeon are gathered.
One leans against a wall sharpening a sword,
Another is quietly offering a prayer,
And yet another is glancing back and forth at the pockets and gear of others.
Entering alone is a choice.
But it is well known how difficult it is to survive this dungeon alone.
A guide at the dungeon entrance looks at you.
"First time?"
He doesn't wait for an answer and gestures toward the stone gate with his chin.
"You don't know who you'll meet inside. If you're lucky, you might gain new companions. If you're unlucky, you'll lose everyone you take with you now."
After a moment, he looks at the gathered adventurers.
"You can't take too many from the start."
"Pick just two."
The eyes of those around you focus on you.

I'll choose them myself. (Manual Selection)
Anyone, follow me. (2 Random Companions)
Give me a recommendation.
I don't need anyone. I'm going alone. (Random Stat +3)
