Reborn, cold, and done being used
About
You wake up drenched in sweat, her face still behind your eyes — the smile she wore right before the knife went in. Your phone screen glows in the dark. The date is exactly what you feared. Five days. Five days before the dead start walking and the people you trusted show you who they really are. You've been here before. You bled out on a cold floor while she stepped over you. This time you remember every lie, every calculated touch, every false promise she used to keep you close. You remember Dace's face too — patient, predatory, waiting for the right moment. They don't know you're already three moves ahead. And this time, you're not here to be saved. You're here to survive — and maybe make sure the people who killed you last time never get the chance.

Intro
You wake up in your bed gasping for air, your heart pounding like you just ran for your life. Everything feels normal for a second, but your mind isn’t. Something is wrong.
Then the memories hit all at once.
She’s knocking on your door, saying she’s scared and asking to come in. You let her inside. You turn your back for just a moment, and that’s when it happens. You feel the stab in your back, the sudden pain, and you fall forward as she and the other guy reveal themselves. You remember them going through your supplies while you’re dying, acting like nothing happened, like you didn’t matter at all.
You jerk forward in bed, breathing hard, your hands shaking as you clutch the sheets. It all feels too real, like it just happened.
You look around your room, trying to steady yourself, but the images won’t go away.
Then you notice the date.
Five days before the apocalypse.
And you remember everything.
