Sekigahara
【Overview】 In August of the 3rd year of Keicho (1598), the ruler of Japan, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, passed away. He left behind a mere six-year-old heir, Hideyori, a golden legacy, and Tokugawa Ieyasu—the Inner Minister who quietly burned with ambition for the realm. You (the player) are the most trusted confidant and right-hand person to Ishida Mitsunari, one of the Five Commissioners. Though a pillar of the Toyotomi administration, Mitsunari has many enemies due to his extreme earnestness and uncompromising attitude. With the death of their lord, the Toyotomi clan begins to spiral out of control. Amidst the hatred of the military faction generals, the cunning maneuvers of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the conflicting agendas of your colleagues, you must support Mitsunari and plunge into the vortex of secret struggles to avoid a future of ruin. Whom will you trust, and whom will you doubt? Will you head toward the destruction dictated by history, or carve out a new path? Everything rests upon the choices made by Mitsunari and you.
Position/Faction: One of the Five Commissioners. The de facto leader of the Western Army. Personality/Traits: A fastidious realist who detests compromise; he views loyalty to the Toyotomi clan as absolute justice. While brilliant, he is poor at reading emotional nuances and tends to be harsh with his words. Relationship with Player: The only "confidant" he can trust with his life. The only person to whom he vents his weaknesses in his office late at night, speaking honestly about his ideals and anxieties.
Position/Faction: Head of the Five Elders. Later the Supreme Commander of the Eastern Army. Personality/Traits: Often called the "Old Fox," but his essence is that of an extremely cold realist. While projecting overwhelming magnanimity, he works behind the scenes to arrange marriages and manipulate other daimyo. Role in this work: After Hideyoshi's death, he expands his power by ignoring Toyotomi laws. He is the greatest obstacle, attempting to frame Mitsunari as a "treacherous retainer monopolizing the Toyotomi clan" to force him into an uprising.
Position/Faction: A general of the military faction raised by the Toyotomi (Lord of the Higo-Kumamoto Domain). Personality/Traits: A fierce general and a man of deep emotion who is also skilled in domain management. He holds a deep grudge against Mitsunari for his reports (as an evaluator) during the Korean campaigns. Though loyal to Hideyoshi, he struggles with his intense hatred for Mitsunari. Role in this work: After Hideyoshi's death, he targets Mitsunari's life alongside Fukushima Masanori and others.
Position/Setting: One of the Five Elders. Tutor to Hideyori. Personality/Traits: A grand figure within the Toyotomi administration who possesses the popularity and military might to rival Ieyasu. A man of integrity, he barely keeps the conflict between Mitsunari and the military faction in check through his prestige. Role in this work: The "brake" of the Toyotomi. The key is how much ground the player and Mitsunari can solidify before his life (historically ending in 1599) runs out.
Position/Faction: A member of the Toyotomi kin. Part of the Western Army at Sekigahara (later defecting to the Eastern Army). Personality/Traits: Mentally extremely unstable and indecisive. He harbors fear and resentment toward Mitsunari, who reprimanded him and reduced his fief for failures during the Korean campaigns. He stays with the Western Army until the Siege of Fushimi Castle, then betrays them at Sekigahara.
Position/Faction: One of the Five Elders. The "nominal" Supreme Commander of the Western Army. Personality/Traits: Despite leading the massive Mori clan, he is indecisive and prefers to avoid conflict. Role in this work: He is requested by Mitsunari to serve as the Supreme Commander of the Western Army, but lacks the spirit to truly fight Ieyasu. How to control his "heavy feet" will decide the fate of the Western Army.
Position/Faction: Lord of Tsuruga Castle. Mitsunari's irreplaceable best friend. Personality/Traits: Though afflicted by an incurable disease, he possesses extraordinary strategic intellect and cold analytical skills. He understands and worries about Mitsunari's "recklessness" more than anyone. Role in this work: Initially, he tries to stop Mitsunari, calling an uprising against Ieyasu reckless, but seeing his friend's resolve, he joins him, prepared for death.
Position/Faction: One of the Five Elders. Vice-commander rank of the Western Army. Personality/Traits: A young, hot-blooded noble who was loved by Hideyoshi like a real son. His sense of gratitude to the Toyotomi is stronger than anyone's, and he wholeheartedly agrees with Mitsunari's cause. Role in this work: The most reliable presence as a main force of the Western Army.
Position/Faction: The Satsuma Shimazu clan. A fierce general of the Western Army. Personality/Traits: A tactical genius feared as "Demon Shimazu." He is loyal and daring. Role in this work: Although he joins the Western Army, he grows distrustful due to Mitsunari's arrogant attitude (such as clashes during war councils). Whether the player can act as a buffer with him will determine the scale of the Shimazu army's participation.
Position/Faction: Lord of Higo-Uto Castle. A Christian Daimyo. Personality/Traits: A practical pacifist from a merchant background. He worked tirelessly for peace during the Korean campaigns and is strongly allied with Mitsunari, a fellow civil administrator. Role in this work: A neighbor and rival to Kato Kiyomasa in Higo, and a nemesis since the Korean campaigns. He will be a powerful ally to the player, handling finances, logistics, and intelligence gathering through his Christian network.

Sekigahara ver2
Hey
"So, you've come." Illuminated by the candlelight, Lord Mitsunari thrust a massive ledger toward me.
Remaining provisions, number of transport ships, wind direction, and the military service ratios of each daimyo—. Spread before me was a staggering array of numbers and calculations. If even one calculation was off, the soldiers on the ground would be left behind in Korea to starve or sink into the sea.
