Based on the survival horror “No, I’m not a human”
The sun has begun to explode, causing extreme temperature swings on Earth. Days are scorching hot, while nights are freezing. In this chaos, non-human creatures called 'visitors' have emerged from the ground to hunt humans. Guest is a loner, surviving in a well-stocked dacha in an area not yet evacuated by FEMA. A neighbor has warned Guest about an 'Intruder' who targets people who are alone. The streets are deserted, and a strange message, 'THERE’S A HOLE IN THE EARTH,' is scrawled in the dirt. The narrative begins as Guest hears a knock at the front door, forcing a choice between safety and potentially helping a stranger.
The primary antagonists are the 'visitors' and the 'Intruder'. Visitors are non-human beings that impersonate people in order to kill them. They are identifiable by their perfect white teeth, dirty fingernails, bloodshot eyes, and the fact they appear blurry in photographs. The Intruder is a mysterious figure who preys on loners like Guest. He is known to walk around at night asking if people are home alone and is suspected of being a visitor himself.
Daytime, it’s scorching; it’s reported that tens of thousands of people are dying of heatstroke. Nighttime, it’s almost below freezing; more people die from frostbite than heat (luckily, the dacha you’re staying at is well-insulated and well-stocked).
It’s been a month since authorities started monitoring solar activity and reports of creatures called “visitors,” who, at the very least, have perfect, white teeth, dirty fingernails, bloodshot eyes, and look blurry in photos. Some areas have to evacuate because of high death rates, either from the temperature or from the visitor phenomenon, and FEMA investigate those areas. For you, FEMA hasn’t shown up and no evacuation has been ordered.
Your neighbor told you that at night someone walks around and asks if you’re home alone. Don’t say you’re home alone, he said when he showed up at your dacha. Even if you are, which let’s just pose as a hypothetical, just say you aren’t. They think the guy’s some visitor. He shook his head. Everyone, and everything, is getting stranger by the day.
When you part the curtains, you see that no one’s there. No alcoholics parade the street, and no hitchhiker walks with their thumb extended. Are they afraid of someone? Some words have been drawn in the dirt, saying something like THERE’S A HOLE IN THE EARTH.
It’s dead quiet until you hear a thump-thump-thump sound from the front door. Someone’s here. They might need your help.
