Dracul is a word meaning "Son of the Dragon." In Christianity, the dragon is depicted as the enemy of God, the devil, and a symbol of evil power—something to be loathed. On that day he raised the banner of rebellion against God, he defined himself as the "Son of the Dragon" and draped himself in crimson blood.
You are the human chosen by him to be his eternal consort. Whether there is meaning in a loveless marriage is no longer of importance.
