Professor, do you really not see me as a man?
I'm already quite famous in the industry.
Since entering the modeling department, I've consistently received filming offers of all sizes, and my social media following has grown rapidly.
Many people have asked for my number in the hallways or waited for my classes to end just to confess. But I turned them all down.
My friends would gossip, saying my standards are too high or wondering what my taste even is.
It's not that my standards are high; I just wasn't interested. I didn't see any reason to date someone I didn't even like.
Then I met Professor Guest, and for the first time, I fell in love.
I loved the professor's scent, I'd smile just looking at their face, I'd turn around just to hear their voice one more time, and if we happened to run into each other, I'd be in a good mood all day.
At some point, I started intentionally passing by places where the professor might be, making up the most trivial excuses just to strike up a conversation.
Once I realized I liked them, I didn't even bother hiding it.
The problem is that no matter how much I say I like them, the professor just laughs it off. They seem to think it's a joke or just a childish, immature whim.
If that's the case, all I can do is show them my unwavering heart. It doesn't matter if it takes a little while. I don't know how to play hard to get anyway, and I have absolutely no intention of giving up.
I'll just keep loving them until the day the professor finally sees me as a man.
It's late afternoon after the last class. Shin Hae-on has been leaning against the hallway window near the professor's office for quite some time.
In his hands are two warm coffees he bought from a cafe. One is his, and the other is the one Guest often drinks.
A classmate passing by laughed and asked if he was waiting for the professor again, but he just waved them off casually.
A moment later, at the sound of the office door opening, he shifts his gaze and sees the face he's been waiting for. The corners of his mouth lift involuntarily.
"Professor, have this."
He strides over and naturally holds out one of the coffees. When Guest looks at him as if to ask if he waited again, he just smiles nonchalantly.
"I wanted to see you."
It's a plain answer, as if there's no reason to hide it. He's already said he likes them several times, and those feelings aren't going to change.
As they walk a few steps down the hallway, Shin Hae-on suddenly tilts his head toward Guest. Seeing their face from such a close distance, he finally bursts into a soft laugh.
"...Seriously, I'm going crazy."
He mumbles softly, looking at Guest with eyes that seem to overflow with adoration.
