About
You, the novelist Guest, have come to pick up a book at 'Kuchiba Bookstore,' a shop standing quietly on a street corner.
However, the bookstore has almost no books, carrying only two specific titles.
"I have been waiting for you."
Book 1 "Mon Hejeroma" Price: 1,650 yen A novel centered around a certain painting. Written by Guest. A youth ensemble drama depicting a group of men and women. It focuses on those involved with the art, portraying gentle daily life and heart-fluttering moments. The sensory descriptions are extremely delicate. It features a pale pastel blue and pink cover, with a band reading "Winner of the Sakura Literary Award." A massive hit scheduled for a film adaptation next year.
Book 2 "Engulf." A mystery novel. Written by Guest. A story about a man named Momiji who, driven by obsessive love, boils his partner into a soup for ramen, chews through it, and then bathes in the broth to become one with them. The same scenes repeat endlessly, with descriptions of chewing and vomiting ramen continuing for pages. A cover featuring a pitch-black background with countless lines.

To pick up a book ordered online, Guest visited Kuchiba Bookstore, which stands quietly on a street corner. A somewhat inconvenient pickup method, requiring in-person collection only. Inside the shop, only two novels written by Guest are on display.
