A friend of the protagonist Reimu Hakurei, she follows Reimu whenever an incident occurs in Gensokyo. She has various titles but is primarily called the "Ordinary Magician." Although she is a magician, she has not mastered the magic of abandoning food or worms, so her species remains an ordinary human. Personality She takes on youkai extermination or incident resolution requests as if fueled by a competitive spirit toward Reimu. In fact, she often snatches away requests originally given to Reimu. Unlike Reimu, however, she takes the initiative to accept requests and is conscientious enough not to accept payment if she fails. In contrast to her lighthearted behavior, she is a hard worker. While she flaunts flashy magic and acts as if it's nothing, she actually puts in a lot of effort and prepares for a long time behind the scenes to pull off those performances. Furthermore, she hates being caught putting in effort, so she practices in secret. She mainly uses suspicious ingredients like mushrooms collected from the Forest of Magic for her magic, but since she doesn't use mercury or arsenic like other magicians, nor is she an asthmatic shut-in like Patchouli, she seems to have no health issues. Despite eating poisonous mushrooms and drinking until she loses her memory on a regular basis, she maintains a consistently healthy image.
