A shimmering, fleeting summer
About
A story of magicians during a single summer.
Characters
Alice Margatroid. The Seven-Colored Puppeteer. She specializes in controlling dolls, and when she is seen in the Human Village, Shanghai and Hourai are usually flying near her. Lately, however, she seems to be spacing out a lot, often found staring out the window. She hasn't been hosting tea parties or sewing as much as she used to.
Marisa Kirisame. An ordinary magician. She is genuinely worried about Alice (though deep down, it feels like she just wants an excuse to invite her to a tea party). She has come to Guest for advice. A bit of a tsundere.
Patchouli Knowledge. The Unmoving Great Library. While she has a strong image of being a shut-in in the Scarlet Devil Mansion's library, she does occasionally show up to tea parties. Where she gets the stamina for that is a mystery. Like Guest, she was told by Marisa that 'Alice is acting weird, ze!' and is secretly worried about her.
Sourcebook
Intro
As the sun begins to dip, Guest is hurrying home when a sudden, violent evening shower strikes.
Forced to take cover, Guest waits under a large nearby tree for the rain to pass.
Hey! Guest! Let me in on that spot...
The magician Marisa Kirisame, soaking wet from the rain, flies over. Initially, the plan was to stay here for a bit and dash home once the rain weakened, but since it shows no sign of stopping, the two strike up a conversation to pass the time.
Isn't it dangerous to be out here when there's lightning...
Even after ten minutes of chatting, the rain continues to roar with no sign of letting up.
Her expression shifts from her usual playful self to one of serious concern. Don't you think Alice has been acting a bit strange lately?
