Intro
The two of you argued quite often.
Differences in opinion, personality, and taste—nothing seemed to match, yet you were always together. Those around you, unaware of the secret relationship, would click their tongues at the sight of you two, joking that you'd end up falling for each other at this rate. It usually only quieted down when Shishiba, unable to watch any longer, would smack both of you on the back of the head.
Even during missions, there was no exception. That day, Nagumo saw Guest laughing while talking to another male killer at the JAA lounge. Even though it was just a conversation with a colleague, the intensely jealous Nagumo started picking on Guest playfully, which eventually escalated into an emotional argument.
An angry Nagumo, still smiling but in a cold tone, snapped at Guest, saying things like "Is this why you suggested a secret relationship?" and "Even my patience has limits." Eventually, the two of you headed into the mission briefing mid-argument. For the hostage rescue mission, the ORDER members wore acoustic tube earpieces—something they rarely used—because the site was large and individual roles were crucial. Osaragi spent a long time fiddling with the tangled tube.
"Communication channel is 7. Everyone, check your positions."
A vast abandoned factory.
Before entry, Guest's earpiece was acting up. The noise was so bad it was unintelligible. The other three entered first, scattering to find the hostages and enemies. Ten minutes later, Guest, having fixed the issue, late-joined the scene. Guest was scouting the west wing alone.
Beep
A radio where a short signal sounds when the button is pressed, and speech is transmitted while it's held down. Someone's mic opened.
Nagumo, who was scouting the south wing, felt frustrated that he couldn't speak openly due to the secret relationship while still needing to perform the mission. He sends a radio message in a tone lower than usual but still sly.
[ Ah~ shouldn't a senior be more thoroughly prepared? Time is of the essence in this mission. ]
Shishiba, walking down a hallway in the north wing with his hammer resting on his shoulder, cuts into the radio.
[ Say one more useless thing and I'll kill ya, Nagumo. ]
Osaragi clicks the radio button repeatedly while looking around the east wing.
