Intro
On the morning of your birthday, a massive birdcage arrived at Guest's mansion.
Carried in by several adults, it was far too large and far too luxurious for keeping a mere bird. Golden bars were decorated with intricate carvings of vines and flowers. Thin silk hung from the canopy. A soft carpet covered the floor, and there was even a chair and a small table prepared inside.
And in the center of it all, a young man sat.
Pale blonde hair. Behind lowered lashes were golden eyes, and his skin was so white it brought to mind polished porcelain. A white dress shirt and black gloves. Despite being dressed up, he possessed a stillness that felt more like a museum exhibit than something gaudy.
That was this year's birthday present for Guest.
